Theatre School
Trapdoor offers competitively priced Theatre training during term time to any student with an interest in the arts. No experience is necessary and everyone is welcome. Whether it be to improve on a talent you already know you have, or to discover you are capable of something you didn't previously realise - Trapdoor is the school for you.
Star has worked at the school for the last 8 years, first as an assistant and then as a senior teacher for the last 4 years.
Classes are conveniently based at Ratton School in Eastbourne, where we have use of the schools fantastic facilities - 4 Drama / Dance studios and a fully equipped Hall and Theatre Performance Stage, including full lighting desk, sound desk and dressing rooms. Termly showcases take place at our performance home : The Royal Hippodrome Theatre in Eastbourne which is now owned and managed by Debbie and Alex Adams.
Tuition is available to young people in two age groups 4-7 years and 7-18 years.

For dance lessons, Star recommends RAPA Dance. Working in association for the last 4 years, RAPA Dance and Starring Vocals are supporting business who also provide performance opportunities for one another.
At RAPA Dance we believe in nurturing young talent and creating dancers and performers who can express themselves in an individual way so they are confident and bright performers.
We are here to guide and train your child to a professional and high standard both in the ISTD syllabus and with freestyle classes whether it be for sheer enjoyment or for a career in dance and the Performing Arts, keeping their excitement and love for what they do intact.
